A warm welcome to you:

Well, I started this Blog cum Website purely for the purpose of talking about Formula1 which I absolutely love, the new entrant in to it’s lineup which is the Force India team owned by the classy Indian billionaire Dr. Vijay Mallya. I have an active interest in other Motor sports as well and as far as possible, try to keep track of them, I intend to discuss all of that here as well. Everything here is with an Indian perspective because I am an Indian after all and hence I can’t help but have an Indian perspective on things anyway.

Vijay Mallya and Michiel Mol’s Force India F1 team & Formula1 rounds, news, scandals, drama, announcements get Center Stage at all times as I said. Do subscribe to the rss feed if you are new here. The fun has already begun with the F1 2008 season kicking off on March 16th with the first F1 round - Melbourne Gp. The paddocks are churning out a steady stream of drama which is a lot of fun to talk of. If you like talking about it also, then well you should stick around and have fun!

To know more about where I come from and where this website could go, see below:-

A big hello to you. I have been a big fan of f1 since the first race I saw - the British Grand Prix at silvestone in 1999. This was the high drama race in which Michael Schumacher broke a leg and was out of racing for 6 races after that. He had been doing 191 MPH (around 300kph) when his brakes failed and he collided with the tire walls at 67 MPH. To just know what will happen to him I kept watching and eventually the race was won by David Coulthard (DC). The entire season was filled with drama and in the end it was pretty close between Mika Hakkinen of McLarren and Eddy Irvine of Ferrari and with just one race remaining, Mika Hakkinen was on 76 and Irvine was on 78. Of course this was courtesy Michael Schumacher in the end; he came back in the Malaysian grand prix, qualified for pole, lead the race, let Irvine go through and kept sure Mika couldn’t get past, thereby bringing the difference to just 2 pts.

Anyway, Hakkinen won that season and F1 had 1 more fan in me. Thereafter I have followed all F1 seasons weekend after weekend with the enthusiasm one might expect of an average or there and above fan. Actually, I would consider myself a complete f1 fanboy or f1 nut or whatever. This notwithstanding, when I heard that last year’s F1 Spykar racing team had been bought over by Vijay Malia and Michiel Mol and then renamed to Force India, as a patriotic Indian, I felt it was my duty that I start a website/blog supporting the team owned by an Indian and called Force India hence the website www.goforceindia.com.

Now, for the ignorant one’s, Dr. Vijay Malia is ‘the’ face of The UB Group – United Spirits Limited, chairman and (a $3 billion company and world’s 3rd largest alcohol producer after takeover of white n mackey) with Michiel Mol, a successful European e-businessman who is originally from Netherlands)

The first race is only due on March 16th of 2008, but I started it now anyway because Formula 1 is never without drama and constant chit chat gossip and it’s fun to talk about it all. Besides, the team has already through two practise sessions till now.
