The sport of F1 racing has had a major boost in terms of it’s popularity with Indian fans after the entry of Vijay Mallya’s Force India F1 team in the 2008 season and the announcement that India will hold it’s very own Grand Prix in the year 2010. Formula1 is already a sport where a lot of money, fame & glamour floats around but more money is always welcome! CEO of Bahrain International Circuit Martin Whitaker said on Thursday praised with Vijay Mallya’s efforts. He said that he is expecting more visitors from the country [India] to come and watch the Bahrain Grand Prix on April 6 than in previous years. The good news is:

Gulf Air, who are the title sponsors of the event, would introduce a special service for the Indian fans who would be eager to visit Bahrain to watch the race. “To cater to the needs of the Indian fans, the Gulf Air would offer daily flights to Bahrain so that they can watch the Formula One race. “Now India is a growing force in the Formula One and it’s great to come and offer our welcome,” Whitaker said at a press conference in New Delhi.

The 1st race starts in Melbourne on March 16 and Bahrain would hold the third race on 6th April of this year’s FIA Formula One World Championship. It’s definitely one of the best circuits on the F1 calendar with long straights like the Malaysian Sepang Circuit and even more overtaking opportunities
