Kimi has been my favorite in spite of Schumacher still racing till last year, I always liked how he could produce something special out of ordinary cars and situations (a thing Schumacher was also known for) But I was anti-Schumacher/Ferrari Dominance on the sport because it made the sport boring. And Kimi in the Mclaren was never a spring chicken. As I have stated elsewhere, the only driver who could compete with Schumi after Hakkinen retired. Alonso I think won simply because the Renault guys had superior cars in those periods and Renault was a team which was willing to make poor old Fisichella a second fiddle for Alonso’s worth. We all know what happened in 2007 when McLaren in this respect played it fair and gave both their drivers equal opportunities.

Since this is about sportsmanship, good attitude as much as it is about skill and achievements, I think the award should go to Kimi.  I am all for it going to Kimi but Hamilton is good guy as well, they can give it to him as well who has proved he has all the skill needed to be a fantastic racer. Thank god they did not include Mr. Attitude Fernando Alonso.
